Family law Divorce by agreement

Uncontested divorce and mediation.

There is no need to make divorce more difficult by confusing the business of divorce with the emotions of divorce.

Two ways

Two ways I can help.

Both start from agreement. The difference is how much is already settled when you come in.

  • Uncontested divorce

You agree on how to divide what you own and what you owe, and on parenting.

I put that agreement in writing correctly and see it through the court.

  • Mediation

You agree on most things, but not everything.

Mediation gives you both a calm place to work through the rest, toward an agreement you can each live with.

What I focus on

The business of divorce, not the emotions.

Finances

I work toward a balanced and fair accounting, so conflict doesn’t eat into what you’ve built together.

How it works

Three steps, from the first meeting to the court.

  1. 1Initial meeting

We sit down in my office and talk it through.

  2. 2Put it in writing

I draft your agreement so it’s correct and complete.

  3. 3See it through the court

Colorado requires at least 91 days after the other spouse is served before the divorce is final. Source
